Boards of Canada, også kjent som BoC, er en elektronisk musikk-duo fra Skottland bestående av brødrene Marcus Eoin og Michael Sandison. De har flere utgivelser, men er mest kjent for Music Has the Right to Children og Geogaddi. Deres unike lydbilde er et produkt av deres bruk av analoge synther, og samplinger.[1] Brødrene eksperimenterte tidlig med musikk og opptaksteknikk, med bl.a. bruk av båndspillere, analoge synthesizere og trommer. Det var først i 1986 at Boards of Canada ble til. Navnet var inspirert av National Film Board of Canada, som utga en rekke 16mm naturdokumentarfilmer med en musikk brødrene prøvde å etterligne.[2]
På tidlig 1990-tallet kom flere samarbeidsutgivelser og små liveopptredener i det myteomspundne kollektivet Hexagon Sun.
