The site was originally built to provide a free source of artwork and metadata for the Kodi community. Since then, many other services have selected our API. We aim to provde a comprehensive data source for music for the opensource and commercial communities.

TheAudioDB.com is a community driven database of audio metadata. It is our aim to be the most simple and accurate source of Music data from all over the world. We also provide a repository of data that can be used in various types of HTPC software to make your viewing experience more visually appealing.

History

This site was originally built to service a need from HTPC apps to grab good quality Music data over the web. Traditionally these apps have scraped different websites.
