David Robert Jones, beter bekend onder zijn artiestennaam David Bowie (Brixton, 8 januari 1947) is een Engelse muzikant. Hij wordt gezien als een uiterst invloedrijk rockmuzikant, artiest en acteur, vanaf de jaren zestig tot heden.
David Bowie werd bekend vanwege wereldhits zoals Space Oddity, Changes, Ziggy Stardust, Let's Dance, Dancing in the Street, Heroes en Under Pressure. In Nederland had Bowie vijf nummer 1-hits. Daarnaast is hij bekend van de verschillende imago's, die vooral in de jaren zeventig excentriek te noemen waren.
