In all things dichotomous we exist on one side of the balance in defiance of the other side. We live in spite of death. We love in spite of loss. On this album I tried to express this; happiness in defiance of tragedy (and sometimes the opposite).

All I have on offer here are outdated maps, but as long as you don’t care where you are going, I have hope that they’ll help you get there.

This album is dedicated to the late Cormac Mc Carthy, whose ability to portray times of bleakness in the human condition allowed for the moments of joy to soar stratospheric.
