Classic Willie may not be all that the title claims, but BMG Special Products' budget-priced sampler does have a good cross-section of Nelson's RCA recordings, including versions of "Night Life," "Crazy Arms" and "Funny How Time Slips Away," plus the minor hit "Once More With Feeling." There are some very good moments here, but since these aren't the best-known versions of these classics, it's not necessarily a great bargain for budget-priced collectors, even if the music is pretty good.
