The Builders are the automatons responsible for the construction and expansion of the city. Many have gone old and senile, however, and tend to build structures that make no sense. Staircases that go nowhere, bridges and walkways that span for miles which end at dead ends, wires and pipes interwoven within each other that serve no function. Eventually the Megacity turned from a sprawling urban utopia, to an Escher/Giger-esque nightmare of architecture and construction.
