"On Monday, March 18th, Karen O and Danger Mouse performed their new single Woman on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and made history - all thanks to Spike Jonze.

"Jonze orchestrated what we can assume is a unique first, and turned the band's live performance on the show into a real music video, created live (as opposed to what has become known as a 'live music video'). It featured Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird), dancers, audience participation - yes, it definitely was done live - as well as Karen O, Danger Mouse and fellow bandmembers Carla Azar (Autolux, Jack White) on drums and Sam Cohen on guitar. And as he has done on so many occasions in the past, Spike did something strikingly simple to create something new. He turned regular TV into something else by dialing down to black and white. And then shooting everything on a single completely fluid camera, capturing everything in one shot. And, not surprisingly, he operated camera himself." (David Knight, Promonews)
