On September 19, "Doom or Destiny" (featuring Joan Jett) was released as the album's fourth single, backed with a pollitically charged video directed by Rob Roth.
"Debbie Harry: “We wanted to comment on the bizarre state of media and news in the current political ‘idiocrasy’ we are watching play out in real time and create our own news channel that dealt with current issues such as the environmental collapse, fossil fuels, bee population decline, global warming, sexism, patriarchy, Trump and Russia, feminism, consumerism, the marketing of war and more.”
Many Mill+ artists and outside contributors offered designs, illustrations, animations and compositing magic based on Roth and Harry’s social causes, themes, and current events. So this was a huge collective effort. And Roth says it is also an example of something that does not happen too often any more within music videos.
“The current landscape of music videos has so little to do with true protest or some kind of social message. It can be truthful, but fun and funny, that is eternally punk to me.”" (David Knight, Promonews)
