"Them Changes" is a song by American musician Thundercat from his third studio album Drunk (2017). The music video for the song was directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada.
"On the tails of his last video for On an On's It's Not Over, Carlos Lopez Estrada has delivered yet another entertaining piece, for singer, bassist and producer Thundercat's funky track Them Changes. In true Lopez Estrada style, the director takes a completely familiar setting and adds a surreal, dreamlike spin to it, starting with an amateur Samurai fighting scene in someone's garage. As it turns out, the encounter is real and the weapons are sharp enough to slice off limbs. The video's tone turns decidedly sombre to mirror the track's peculiar take on heartbreak, with a nebulous plot following what's left of the miserable samurai who has to rely on his loved ones to take care of his basic needs."
