"This Head I Hold" is the first single off of the debut album, Mondo, by Electric Guest. It was one of the best-selling singles in France of 2012.
On January 4, 2012, the band released a promotional video featuring the band playing the song live on stage. In advance of the album's release, they released a second video built around the narrative of a talent competition and a desert expedition. It was directed by Keith Schofield.
David Knight of Promonews has to comment: "Keith Schofield helms the video for Electric Guest's This Head I Hold ... in which the ball of angst that is Electric Guest's Asa Taccone will do anything to avoid auditioning in front of the scary judges at a very odd talent show where the secrets of all dance moves are revealed. So he runs off to the desert, and becomes a sort of hobo/Jedi. At least he's not beating up people, as in EG's American Daydream vid..."
