The song is a ballad informing the male lover that his female counterpart wants him to not leave. This was the first hit ballad by En Vogue and features a vocal progression by Terry Ellis displaying her maximum 5 octave range and also one of the first recordings for Born To Sing in the summer of 1989. It was registered with the U.S. Copyright Office on October 2, 1989 under the registration number, PAu001310506.
