"Rhythm Is a Dancer" is a song recorded by German eurodance group Snap!. It was released in April 1992 and achieved a huge success in many countries around the world, becoming a top 5 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play Singles. It also topped the charts in France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom. The single remained six weeks at the top position in the U.K. and became the biggest hit of 1992 in that country surpassed only by Whitney Houston's version of I Will Always Love You.
The song was the second single from the album The Madman's Return (though the 1st version of that album does not contain the song). It was written by Benito Benitez, John "Virgo" Garrett III (aliases for German producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti), singer Thea Austin and rapper Turbo B (Jonny (camp Gauntlett) and produced by Snap!.
