I'm trying to import new artists from Musicbrainz but the process always gets stuck at "Checking MusicBrainz Exists...❌"

| | just imported "Vitriol" from musicbrains , worked fine, so not sure why you're having problems.
what are you trying to import ?

| | Sometimes this can happen if there is a mismatched MB id. Sometimes they change the ID.

Not sure what Punctuation Mark has been used in the name spelling at musicbrainz, but if you use that it won't find the artist if used to search with.
Just type from keyboard or use the one from this post.

| | Trying to import "Claire Laffut", nothing unusual about the name, no special characters, fails on the musicbrainz check.
Not the first time I've had this issue.

Is this due to character ' in the artist's name?

Not sure what Punctuation Mark has been used in the name spelling at musicbrainz, copied the link from the artist page (top left) and it worked fine. Have had this problem before.
