Pretty Brayah, an American rapper and singer of Puerto Rican and African-American descent, hails from Detroit’s Eastside, Michigan. Raised in a challenging environment, she became the first in her family to earn a college degree in public health from Wayne State University. Inspired by local acts like Team Eastside and Doughboyz Cashout, she launched her rap career in 2018 with the viral single "Wassup." Her albums Daddy Issues and Truth, along with tracks like "25 Reasons," "Mean Girl Era" (2023), and "I Woke Up (Affirmations)" (2025), blend hip-hop, trap, and R&B, addressing trauma, relationships, and empowerment. Openly bisexual, she challenges rap norms with a bold flow.
