Artist Biography

Balcon sans princesse is an independent pop-rock band originally from Shawinigan and based in Trois-Rivières.

Founded in 2019 by Félix Bruneau and Xavier Laverdière, the band completed its line-up with Dereck Pichette and Thomas Bertrand. Since then, they've performed at local venues such as Zénob, Gambrinus, Entité, Backstore, Cabaret de l'Amphithéâtre Cogeco and La Bezotte.

In September 2021, they released their debut EP "Dans un autre rêve", which was well received by the public. Their hit single, "Café", was also accompanied by a music video the following year.

Balcon sans princesse released their single "Laisse-moi (le temps)" in April 2023. The single quickly amassed listenership and reached number one on CFOU 89.1 radio's French-language chart. In June 2023, they unveiled their second single entitled "Me vois-tu le soir?". The second single, from the forthcoming album, gets regular airplay on Attitude Franco (SiriusXM).

In August 2023, they take part in L'Ultime Édition - Festival de la Solidarité Musicale with Violett Pi, Liliane Pellerin, Pourpre, Les Tireux de Roches, Lydia Képinsky, Renard Blanc and Les Frères Lemay.

They open for Malaimé Soleil at the Backstore on November 11, 2023 and for Jérôme 50 on February 9, 2024 at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières.

On May 25, 2024, they take part in the 1st edition of the Festival La Quarence, opening for Pourpre.

On July 4, 2024, they take part in the 31st edition of the FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières in a double show with Gosier.

The group is renowned for its engaging performances and catchy melodies.

They are currently working on their first full-length album, scheduled for release in 2024.
