Artist Biography Available in: La Santa Cecilia is a Mexican-American musical group created in 2007 in Los Angeles, California. It is composed of Marisol Hernández, nicknamed La Marisoul, singer and leader of the group, and Miguel Ramírez on percussion, José Carlos on accordion and Alex Bendaña on bass.
The group sings in English and Spanish; his music is a mixture of different styles, including cumbia, bossa nova. The group received a Grammy Award in 2014 for their studio album Treinta Días.
