Started off as an acoustic Singer/Songwriter Duo from North Holland, Close to Fire is now a grown four-member band in full swing. Known for positive Indie pop with a surfy sound, unique harmony and catchy pop songs in an accessible style. They are inspired by artists like The Kooks, Two Door Cinema Club and Kings of Leon.   Close to Fire previously performed at well known national stages like de Duycker, P60, Tivoli, Victorie and won the vote for Public's Favourite during the Rob Acda Awards 18/19 in Patronaat Haarlem. Every summer the band travels across European borders in order to perform at international surf camps, e.g. in France & Spain.   February 2020 Close to Fire released their debute EP ‘Stepping Stone’ in a sold out Paradiso, Amsterdam. The EP is their Stepping Stone to the music industry, and is produced by Sebastiaan Weerman with lyrical help of Berry Krikken (known from ).   Summer Haze reached one million streams and is the first single of their upcoming debute album (2022). After 'June', they release their 3rd single 'Feeling Young'.   ‘Feeling Young’ is about turning old love into new love. You often don't realise how much you love something until it's gone. This is related to the pandemic we lived in. Right now we're gonna feel young again, fly like paperkites and enjoy every little moment of it!
