Louise Carver signed her first record deal at fifteen. She released her debut single at seventeen entitled, ‘It Don’t Matter.’ It became an instant hit and reached third position on the South African national charts. Her debut album ‘Mirrors & Windows’ delivered another top 10 hit, ‘Fallen for you.’
Louise then released the EP ‘Looking Around’, which explored her fascination with dance music and club life. She caught the attention of legendary deep house producer, Kenny Hawkes in London, who worked with her on the track, ‘Play the Game’ which went to no. 1 in Europe.
Due to the success of ‘Play the Game’, Sony UK licensed her song, ‘I’d Say Yes’ which again went to no. 1 in Europe, Russia & South Africa and is still a firm favourite on the dance scene worldwide. For Carver’s 2nd full-length studio album , she worked with the well-established British production duo, ‘Tin Tin Out.’
Sony music SA signed Louise and released the first single, ‘Empty Fantasy’ which went to no.1 in South Africa.
Sony released two more singles from the album, both of which were hugely popular on radio
Louise was nominated for a South African Music Award under the category of ‘Best Adult Contempory Album.’
In 2007 she joined forces with Theo Crous to produce her third studio album
The first single, ‘Home’ gave Louise another top ten hit on radio. Louise was nominated for two SAMA’s: ‘Best Female’ and ‘Best Adult Contemporary album.’ ‘Saved By the Moonlight’ spurned two more successful singles, ‘The Only Thing’ and ‘Didn’t mean to call.
At the 2009 SAMA’s ‘Didn’t mean to call’ was nominated for ‘Record of the Year’ – this is a category voted for by the general public.
In 2008 Carver produced, directed and starred in the ‘Home Tour Live’ show and performed to sold-out venues nationwide. Her final show was recorded live and released in conjunction with a follow up tour. It turned out to be a great year for Louise, as she went on to win a Style Award for most Stylish entertainer of 2008 and was nominated for two SAMA’s, Best Female Artist and Best adult Contemporary Album for ‘Home Tour Live.’
In 2009 Louise was asked to be a Youth Ambassador for the Independent Electoral Committee along with Natalie du Toit, as well as a 46664 Youth Ambassador for the Nelson Mandela Trust.
2010 she released her album ‘Look To The Edge.’ The first single ‘Warrior’ reached no.1. The music video was added to the MTV Europe play list and Louise performed at the Sama’s, as well as co-hosted 5 Top billing shows
2011 Louise received 4 SAMA nominations . She finished up 2011 by releasing ‘Days Go By’ with dance duo, Pascal & Pearce, which reached fifth position on the national charts.
Her fifth studio album entitled, ‘Say it to my face’ again changed musical direction and had a more electronic feel to it. The three music video’s for singles, 'You think you got it easy’ , ‘How you gonna do it’ and 400 miles can be viewed on youtube and all did very well on SA radio charts.
2015 Louise took home the award for Most Glamourous Women in South Africa . 2016 Carver saw her single ‘Sunrise’ with US DJ Joe Bermudez take the #1 spot on the Billboard ‘Dance/Club Play’ chart.
She released her 6th studio album entitled, ‘hanging in the void’ with ‘Lift Off’ being the first single at the end of 2016. April 2018 saw Joe and Louise’s second single entitled, ‘Crazy Enough’, once again reach the number 1 spot on the Billboard club/dance charts.
