All CHROMANCE can remember from his childhood is music. Music was everywhere. His mother singing lullabies, his father an international booked concert pianist, travelling the world. CHROMANCE started to play the flute at the age of four and piano at the age of six.
But his parents didn't support his musical ambitions as they also knew about the struggles of an artist life. It was CHROMANCE himself who had to push himself step by step further.
At the age of sixteen CHROMANCE was introduced to electronic music by a friend. He was infected by this genre right away and started to DJ. Together with friends he organized illegal raves in and around Berlin. He knew, that music would be part of his life. Must be part of his life.
A friend introduced him to his first music software. CHROMANCE was overwhelmed by the endless possibilities. "I need to produce music. I need to do it. And I have to do it my way and different. I want my music to be different. I need it to be different. There's so much music out there, that just sound same same same."
CHROMANCE started to study music production while working during night to finance his life and the studies. He travelled the world to be inspired from the music out there. South East Asia, America, South Africa, Australia. Whereever he travelled to he made music with the people he met on the streets and listened to their stories. "This was my personal breakthrough", CHROMANCE admits. "I realized how different the people are. And how different the music can be from country to country, from continent to continent."
Berlin as the european melting pot, the place to be, bringing together so many different influences, was the perfect starting point for CHROMANCE. 2016 he started to build his studio in the heart of Kreuzberg.
WRAP ME IN PLASTIC is his first song to be released. He teamed up with MARCUS LAYTON who already gained over 30 million streams on Spotify. MARCUS was introduced by a friend and when he heard WRAP ME IN PLASTIC the first time, he immediately fell in love with the song and decided to do a remix, which became the main version at the end. Listen closely to WRAP ME IN PLASTIC. There is so much truth between the lines.
