Artist Biography Available in: Ishawna Natalie Smith (Born on 1986 September 29) is a Jamaican singer and Dj. Ishawna wrote her first song at the age of six and recording her first track at the age of eight. She become famous has part of the formable dancehall crew Alliance which is spread headed by one of the worlds greatest dancehall artist Bounty Killa. She release her collaboration with Demarco ‘For You’ (2008), two big hits with dancehall energy god Elephant man ‘Take It’ and ‘Give It To Me’ (2009).
Follow her sting with the Alliance she sign a new sponsorship deal with Lime, the Caribbean’s leading telecommunications company (2011) and later signed a recording deal with DownSound Records (DSR) CEO, Joe Bogdanovich, (2012).
Her latest singles “Vroom Vroom” , “Oola La la” and “Cheerful Giver” have been receiving airplay up until to-date, while her videos, “Cheerful Giver” and “Restraining Order” are being featured on MTV.com , with “Cheerful Giver” also in the top ten on the Tempo Network Cross Caribbean Countdown.
She has collaborated with Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean as well as Peetah Morgan from outstanding reggae group Morgan Heritage, just to name a few.
