Jamie Anderson has established himself as a highly reputed producer and DJ.
Coming from a strong musical background growing up around jazz musicians in West London, he later moved to Bristol where he continued his keyboard training with renowned jazz pianist Dave Buxton - resulting in Jamie playing keyboards for a funk band during the early 90s.
Starting his synth collection back in 1981, Jamie also had a love for electronic music and the art of mixing records which has been with him ever since the early electro and hip hop days. The influence of his massive knowledge of music can be heard in his own works, which include distinct flavours of Detroit Techno, Latin Jazz, Chicago Acid House and Electro Funk.
Having founded Artform in 1997, he made his debut solo release on the label with the "Prototype EP". By 2001 Jamie had signed to the NRK record label, which led to the release of his debut artist album Blue Music and Nite:life Mix CD as well as a succession of hot releases and remixes. He also gained global recognition for his productions on Dave Angels Rotation, Hooj, Front Room, 100% Pure and numerous other respected labels.
Jamie has been a main player on the DJ circuit for over 10 years. He started out working in Replay - a popular dance specialist record store in Bristol - and successfully running and headlining at some of the biggest club nights in the south west during the mid 90s, to now spending most of the year on a continuous world tour. Notable recent performances include Love Parade San Francisco, Dance Valley Festival, Zouk Singapore and Loveland in Holland. Jamie was voted no.7 alongside Vince Watson at the Dutch Dance Music Awards for their 4 deck versus sessions.
Anderson's latest label project "Fixia" aims to set a new benchmark for the 21st century. Summing up all the elements of the underground sound to a new point of reference, Fixia has unleashed a new burst of life into the scene - with the release of the critically acclaimed "Short Stories". Expect a lot more in the coming months as the fruits of Jamies ground breaking musical talents are released and performed.
