Guitarist and songwriter Shane Fogerty has thrived within the music industry his entire life. Known to incorporate many different genres and styles into his performance, from raga to rockabilly, Fogerty has developed his own lively brand of guitar tone and style. Fogerty tours the world in his father John Fogerty’s band throughout places like South America, Europe, Russia, Australia, Canada and the USA.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Fogerty frequents world renown local performance venues such as The Roxy, Troubadour, The Roosevelt Hotel, The Satellite and many others with his band Hearty Har. While on tour in Europe, Fogerty performed with Bruce Springsteen in Hyde Park in London for 75,000 people. In St. Augustine, Florida at The Gentlemen of the Road Festival, Forgerty performed with Grammy award-winning folk-rock band Mumford & Sons in front of 25,000 fans. He has appeared as a guitarist on numerous TV shows including American Idol, The View, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Late Show with David Letterman. Fogerty’s playing can be heard on the records of John Fogerty, Hearty Har, Steamtrain Mary and his classmates Brett Fromson and Catherine Rose Smith. From writing, arranging, producing, mixing and performing music, he strives to be comfortable and resourceful in as many roles as possible. Not shy to fill in on banjo, charango, bass, or keyboards, Fogerty takes pride in his familiarity with multiple instruments.
Fogerty is a founding member of psychedelic folk-rock band Hearty Har, who is planning to release their first full length album in the spring of 2014. After the album’s release, the band will embark on a West Coast tour. Fogerty is graduating from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California where he is earning his Bachelor of Music degree in Popular Music Performance.
