Carpathian Forest ist eine Black-Metal-Band aus Sandnes, Norwegen.

„Carpathian Forest“ wurde 1990 von „Lord Nosferatu“ und „Lord Karnstein“ (beziehungsweise Roger „Nattefrost“ Rasmussen und Johnny „Nordavind“ Krøvel) gegründet. Ihre Demo „Bloodlust and Perversion“ gilt als legendär. Nachdem sie 1993 eine weitere Demo names „Journey Through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern“ veröffentlichten, erlangten sie einen Plattenvertrag. Ihre folgenden Veröffentlichungen bescherten der Band Kultstatus und den Ruf einer „True-Black-Metal“-Band. Im Jahr 2000 verließ das Gründungsmitglied Nordavind die Band.

2003 gründete Roger „Nattefrost“ Rasmussen das Soloprojekt Nattefrost, in welchem unter anderem Johnny „Nordavind“ Krøvel als Gastmusiker mitwirkt.
