The Europa Galante group was founded by Fabio Biondi, fulfilling the desire to draw the attention of the international audience to a new Italian presence in the field of musical interpretation in old instruments. Fabio Biondi gathered around him some of the best Italian musicians, with whom it had previously worked in famous international groups. Europa Galante met an immediate success, and the first recording (of Vivaldi Concertos) received the Award Cini of Venice and the magazine Le Choc Monde de la Musique.
