La Suédoise Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson dite Tove Lo est née le 29 octobre 1987 à Stockholm. En 2011, elle intègre l'équipe de compositeurs du producteur Max Martin. C'est ainsi que Tove Lo est amenée à travailler avec Girl Aloud, Icona Pop ou Tal. Tenante d'une pop electro très dansante, Tove Lo part bientôt à l'abordage pour son propre compte et remporte son premier succès international avec la chanson « Habits (Stay High) » en avril 2014. Le titre est présent sur l'EP Truth Serum sorti en mars.
