Hij brak door bij het grote publiek na zijn vroegtijdig overlijden. Jim Croce heeft vijf studioalbums en elf singles uitgebracht. Jim Croce is vooral bekend geworden met melodieuze, gevoelige liedjes zoals I got a name en Time in a bottle.
