The Hollies er en populærmusikalsk gruppe fra Manchester, stiftet av Graham Nash (senere Crosby, Stills & Nash) og Allan Clarke. Gruppen hadde 26 topp-30-hits i England i perioden 1963-74, førsteplasser var «I'm Alive» (1965) og «I Can't Let Go» (1966). Annenplasser var «Just One Look» (1964), «Stop Stop Stop» (1966), «He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother» (1969) og «The Air That I Breathe» (1974). Tredje plass ble nådd med «Carrie Anne» (1967) og «Sorry Suzanne» (1969). Storslagere i USA kom med «Bus Stop» og «Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress». Suksesser som var mer spesielle for Norge var «Very Last Day» og «Jennifer Eccles». Etter 1974 hadde de fortsatt suksess på hitlistene i land som Tyskland, Holland og New Zealand, men listeplasseringene uteble i England og USA inntil en medley slo an i 1981. Etter det klarte «Stop in the name of love» med Graham Nash på laget å komme inn på USA topp 30 i 1983. Endelig gikk «He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother» helt til 1. plass ved gjenutgivelsen i England i 1988. I 2010 ble The Hollies inkludert i det prestisjefylte amerikanske «Rockens æresgalleri». Gruppens musikalske særpreg er trestemt harmonisang og gitarer, i samme tradisjon som The Beatles. The Hollies er en av ytterst få engelske popgrupper som har turnert kontinuerlig i 50 år.
