Rick Wakeman (* 18. Mai 1949 in Middlesex, heute Perivale, London; eigentlich Richard Christopher Wakeman) ist ein britischer Musiker. Er gilt als einer der wichtigsten Keyboarder des Progressive Rock.

Wakemans Pionierleistungen bei der Etablierung des Mellotrons sowie seine klassische Klavierausbildung beeinflussten den Sound seiner Stammband Yes in den frühen 1970er Jahren entscheidend. Sein besonderes Verhältnis zu Yes wird daran deutlich, dass kein anderer die Band so oft verließ und sich ihr später wieder anschloss wie er, der insgesamt fünf Neueinstiege zu verbuchen hat. Charakteristisch und oft imitiert ist auch sein Bühnenauftreten, meist im Glitzercape, das sich bis in heutige Konzerttourneen hinein erhalten hat.
