The Lightning Seeds est un groupe de rock et de pop alternatif anglais de Liverpool, en Angleterre, formé en 1989 par Ian Broudie (chant, guitare, producteur), anciennement du groupe Big in Japan.
À l'origine un projet solo en studio pour Broudie, les Lightning Seeds sont devenus un groupe de tournée après Jollification (1994). Le groupe a connu un succès commercial tout au long des années 1990 et est bien connu pour son single " Three Lions ", une collaboration avec David Baddiel et Frank Skinner qui a atteint le n ° 1 au Royaume-Uni en 1996 et 1998.
