Le groupe s'est formé à Seattle, aux États-Unis, en 1993. Le groupe de trois musiciens comprend actuellement le chanteur et "basitariste" Chris Ballew, le batteur et chanteur Jason Finn avec le "guitbassiste" et chanteur Andrew McKeag. "Guitbassist" et chanteur Dave Dederer a été membre du groupe pendant 11 ans avant de partir en 2004. Ils ont sorti six albums studio depuis leur formation en 1993.
