King Crimson is een Britse rockband rond gitarist Robert Fripp. De band werd opgericht in 1969 en geldt als een van de uitvinders van de progressieve rock. De carrière van de band wordt regelmatig onderbroken door wisseling van personeel; ook wordt de groep regelmatig opgeheven om even regelmatig weer van start te gaan.
