Nicole Scherzinger (born Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente on June 29, 1978), is an American recording artist, songwriter, dancer, model, television personality, philanthropist and actress. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Scherzinger studied at Youth Performing Arts School, where she was first exposed to performing. Scherzinger rose to fame when she won reality television singing competition with girl group, Eden's Crush in Spring 2001, but left the same year and later joining another girl group, The Pussycat Dolls in 2003.
While still a member of the Pussycat Dolls, Scherzinger planned to release an debut album with "Baby Love" serving as the lead single and "Whatever U Like" as the promotional single. Scherzinger later decided not to release the album and concentrate on the Pussycat Dolls. In 2010, Scherzinger left the band and decided to have a second attempt at a solo career. Scherzinger released her debut album, Killer Love, in 2011, which spawned a number of hit singles around the globe-"Poison", "Don't Hold Your Breath" and "Right There". "Don't Hold Your Breath" also charted at number-one in the United Kingdom. Killer Love later became one of the best selling albums of 2011 in the UK. Two more singles were released from the album-"Wet" and "Try with Me". Scherzinger has began writing and recording her upcoming second studio album and plans to release a brand new international single in Summer 2012.
