Her Name Is Nicole (in English: "Her Name Is Nicole") is the name of the unreleased demo album by US singer Nicole Scherzinger with Interscope Records. Originally scheduled for release on October 16, 2007, the album was postponed to November 12, due to the poor success of the single "Whatever U Like" (with TI) produced by Don Polow. The tracks "Baby Love", "Supervillain" and "Puakenikeni" were released as second, third and fourth singles respectively, but had no major impact. As a result, the album was archived indefinitely. The singer recorded 75 to 100 songs for this project, with some of them being revised and ending on both albums of the Pussycat Dolls. Among those who worked with her at the studio were producers Akon, Gary Lightbody, Dr. Dre, Ne-Yo, T.I., Timbaland, Will.i.am, and Kanye West. In 2016, following their second studio album, Big Fat Lie, rumors of an official mixtape with the preparation of these tracks appeared online. Once again nothing followed and the album remains unreleased unreleased to this day.
Globally known as the leader of pop group Pussycat Dolls, Nicole began planning her album after the release of their first album, PCD (2005). With a wide range of producers and songwriters, the album had a number of formulations and release dates, the first of which was announced in 2007, then signaled a possible release for October 2008 but, with the release of the group's second album, the album release was again canceled.
In 2009 it was announced that Nicole has returned to the project of her solo album and that it should be released in the same year. However, the album was not released. The following year, 2010, a new song was presented as a possible single from the album, "Nobody Can Change Me", which was not officially released. Scherzinger later said he would be abandoning the "Her Name Is Nicole" project and developing a new album that producer RedOne says is ready.
