Lana Del Rey (* 21. Juni 1985 in New York als Elizabeth Woolridge Grant) ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin. Sie wurde mit dem Song Video Games bekannt, mit dem sie im Dezember 2011 ihren internationalen Durchbruch hatte. Das erste Studioalbum Born to Die konnte sich weltweit mehr als 5 Millionen Mal verkaufen und war auf Platz 5 der bestverkauften Alben von 2012.

Lana Del Rey wurde als Elizabeth Grant in New York geboren und wuchs in Lake Placid im Bundesstaat New York auf. Ab ihrem 18. Lebensjahr war sie als Sozialarbeiterin in New Yorker Obdachlosenheimen und in Rehabilitationszentren für Alkoholiker und Drogensüchtige tätig. Mittlerweile lebt sie überwiegend in London. Sie steht bei der Plattenfirma Universal unter Vertrag.

Von August 2011 bis Juni 2014 hatte sie eine Beziehung mit dem schottischen Sänger Barrie-James O'Neill (Kassidy).
