Adele Laurie Blue Adkins[1] (London, 1988. május 5.) ismertebb nevén Adele Oscar-díjas és Golden Globe-díjas, nyolcszoros Grammy-díjas angol énekesnő, zenész-dalszerző. Négyéves korában ismerkedett meg a zene alapjaival, ekkor énekelni kezdett.[2][3] Első dalát, a Hometown Glory-t tizenhat éves korában írta.[4] Zenei tanulmányait a híres BRIT Schoolban végezte, amit 2006 májusában fejezett be.[5][6] Ugyanott, ahol korábban Leona Lewis, Katie Melua, Kate Nash, a The Kooks tagjai és Amy Winehouse is tanultak; Lewis az osztálytársa volt.[1][7]
