Album Description
Available in:
Nipper's Greatest Christmas Hits is a collection of 20 holiday tunes culled from the RCA vaults. The album is dominated by traditional pop and easy listening from the '50s and early '60s (Perry Como, Kate Smith, Ames Brothers, Dinah Shore, Arthur Fiedler, Harry Belafonte, Henry Mancini, Jack Jones), but it also dips into rock & roll (Elvis Presley) and country (Willie Nelson, Ronnie Milsap, Alabama). As a result, the album is a little incohesive, even if there are no weak tracks. Nevertheless, listeners who are fond of all these different styles may find this to be a nice budget-priced disc.
