天気予報 (rom. Asutenki) is one of the many interesting works by the incredibly talented Noryokun, a multi-faceted artist with over a dozen extremely diverse musical projects. This overarching project as whole is focused on the clipping of and recontextualization of broadcast and commercial samples, expertly curated and chopped in the most interesting ways possible.
巡 contains a perfect mix of the main elements that many of these albums contain: Commercial audio, jingles, and simple tunes. Put together they manage to create the perfect soundscape of cruising through the summer, distinctly nostalgic in both fidelity and source of samples.
It is an exceptionally succinct listen as well, designed to give the most content to experience it possibly can without dragging itself along. As you take a listen however, remember that this may only end up with finding yourself poring through this piece over and over!
