You awake in the town of Wellsville...viewing a close up glimpse of a blue sleeved right hand merrily strumming an electric guitar. Cut to a low angled shot of an autumn lawn. There is a stone garden gnome in the middle distance but just as you detect it a push mower cuts across your vista followed by a pair of sneakers, legs, and rolled up jeans. A flash of white light and the mower crosses again from the left this time, retreading its path and returning to its place of origin.
While you grapple with your new surroundings you are suddenly thrust into the air, now following closely to the left side and slightly behind a light colored station wagon. A young man with a shock of orange hair protruding from beneath a buffalo plaid cap sticks his head out the back passenger window. Wincing, his tongue protrudes from his mouth as if to cool some unknown summer her heat.
Cut to a solitary snare drum being beaten quickly on the front lawn before revealing a gang of 3 middle aged minstrels occupying the front of the homestead. Their carefree consciousness evokes a feeling of deep calm in you. From up on the porch you view their backs in a panning glance among the railing posts, and realize that there is no audience. Only you.
The boy from before emerges riding a lawn mower, a tool which would have come in handy to the disembodied legs of shots past...He contorts his face in a mix of excitement and fear. Perhaps he is being pursued, or perhaps he is the pursuer. This is not known. What is known is that the boy's name is Pete, and as the image of him sliding belly first in a school hallway is replaced with the close up of a similarly red haired young man who shares his brother's name but not his youth you realize that this will be an adventure...
