User Album Review
"Alive in America" is a great live disc from the Cocker archives. Liner notes say, "Alive in America is a live album documenting Joe Cocker's concert performance in Denver, Colorado on May 2, 1981." The sound is crystal clear and the performance quality is vibrant. The Disc One songs were a bit less familiar to me. I totally love "Lady Put the Light Out" with Cocker's classic vocals, "Somebody I trusted; Somebody I knew quite well." "Shocked" is also amazing. Disc Two has some of his classic tracks like "Hitchcock Railway," "With a Little Help from My Friends" and Jimmy Webb's beautiful "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress." Cocker may have departed the planet, but his music rocks on. Great live performance!
