Album DescriptionAvailable in:
As unreliable as their exultant press clips had become during the band's short existence (the result of a next-big-thing-obsessed British press, led by the never subtle Kerrang! magazine), one thing no one could take away from the Wildhearts was their generosity for filling EP's with new, unreleased material instead of rehashed mixes and whatnot. The TV EP was no exception, and except for then-current single "TV Tan," its remaining cuts had all been recently waxed by the band in between legs of their year-long U.K. tour. "Show a Little Emotion" offers possibly the most singularly melodic moment yet from Ginger and crew, while the extended, multi-part mood piece "Dangerlust" boasts a very catchy and instantly memorable chorus as well. And despite its deeply sardonic lyrics (by now a clearly established band trademark), final track "Down on London" is itself another top-notch single contestant. In short, this release was another high-water mark in what turned out to be a marquee year in the Wildhearts' career.
