The Very Best of Memphis Slim: The Blues is Everywhere collects 12 songs Slim recorded in the mid-'60s, probably for King and Scepter Records. While there are some good peroformances on this disc, there are no liner notes explaining the origins of the tracks, and the sound is uneven. It's not a bad collection, especially for collectors searching for a few specific cuts, but novices would be better served by more comprehensive, thorough collections
