Album DescriptionAvailable in:
BMG Special Products' Original Outlaws is an unremarkable but nevertheless enjoyable collection of live performances from Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings, the two key figures of '70s outlaw country music. Ironically, most of these performances are from 1982, just as the outlaws were on the wane, but both Willie and Waylon are in good form, turning in solid versions of "Good Hearted Woman," "The Year That Clayton Delaney Died," "Just to Satisfy You," "Write Your Own Songs," "Last Cowboy Song," and "Heaven or Hell." It's hard to tell who this is for -- there aren't enough hits to make this interesting to casual fans, yet there isn't enough information or exceptional performances to make this worthwhile for collectors -- but it's not a bad budget-priced disc.
