Talk Of This Town is a sophisticated debut from a young lady that has delivered an album a seasoned pro would have been proud of. It is evident in the belief that he record label have shown in this young lady as she has navigated the murky world of the music industry has thrown at her, being plucked from her home in Rostrevor and thrown into the deep end in London and beyond, she has produced a sublime collection of beautifully written, melodic and emotive tracks that go well beyond her years.
From her polished debut track ‘Thought It Was Gonna Be Me’ to the duet with Hunter Hayes on ‘Don’t Let Me Forget’ this album will bring a smile to you face and wrap you up in an audible warm blanket of engaging songwriting. The production is superb and with Catherine surrounded by first class musicianship, each and every track resonates as intended.
Talk Of This Town is as fine a Country album that will be released this year and will stand up beside any of her contemporary peers, if you’re a fan of Lady Antebellum, The Shires, Kacey Musgraves and the likes, Catherine McGrath should be in your collection.
