En 1997, Gipsy Boogie se grabó entre Madrid y Memphis, nuevamente con el productor Jim Gaines. Se mezcló en Florida y se dominó en Nueva York, con colaboraciones de Raimundo Amador, Carles Benavent, La Chonchi, el cantante cubano David Montes, Chester Thomson, Lonnie Brooks, Larry McCray, Little Jimmy King, David Allen y Larry Graham (ex Sly & The Family Stone). El álbum, que fue lanzado en 24 países, fue nominado a los Premios Amigo, y la banda se fue de gira a Francia, Italia, Alemania y Portugal.
