MyChildren MyBride isn’t the most technical band in the world, for the vocals overall don’t add much to the material, and the drum work adds a lot to be desired at times. That said, the record does come with moments that pop with flavor and interesting blends. Most noticeably, the guitar and electronic work provide a mix of catchy and heavy that grows as the record progresses. The metal/electronic thing can be hard to pull off, but MyChildren MyBride really sell it. These are the tracks that tend to be the most memorable (and even entertaining). It’s nice to have the guys back and making music, and while Vicious World may not be the best record the band has ever done, it certainly has its moments worth checking out.
