"Havana" is a song recorded by Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello featuring guest vocals from American rapper Young Thug. It was released on August 3, 2017, as a promotional single from her then titled debut studio album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., later retitled to Camila (2018), along with "OMG". On August 30, 2017, via social media, Cabello confirmed the song as the album's second single. It was serviced to radio on September 8, 2017. On November 11, 2017, a remix version of the song with Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee was uploaded to Cabello's YouTube page. The first verse of the remix is sung in Spanish while Daddy Yankee replaces Young Thug's verse.
Due to the rising success of the song, "Havana" later became the proper lead single of Cabello's debut album, replacing "Crying in the Club". The song became an international success, reaching number one in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Scotland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It also reached the top 10 in a number of countries, including Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Its music video was directed by Dave Meyers and premiered on October 24, 2017. The video shows Cabello playing herself as Karla, as well as a telenovela actress and a movie protagonist, and features cameos by Lele Pons, LeJuan James, Noah Centineo, Marco Delvecchio and Mikey Pesante. It received four nominations at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, including for Video of the Year. A vertical video was also released, showing the singer and several dancers in a New York City subway, as well as a pianist's hands. Cabello has performed "Havana" in several live appearances, including at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards, 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, and 2018 Billboard Music Awards.
