User Album Review
Mark Staiger reviewed Geboren um zu sterben for the website Rap.de. According to him, the release gives the impression that "it can certainly be measured against the previous albums [Alpa Guns]". As Alpa Gun's albums have "always been very theme-oriented" and "above all a reflection of his current world of thoughts and feelings", the fact that he is now a father of two has had an effect. He is primarily concerned with the "emergence of life and the certain realization of its transience, as well as the question of how to do justice to the time in between, the gift of life". However, the album also includes "representative tracks" such as Alper Abi. The track Ich und meine Glatze lives from Gun's "humor and capacity for self-irony." Together with Nate57, he refers in Aufstand "to the recent unrest on the streets of cities like Paris, London and other parts of the world." While the guest contributions from PA Sports and Yasha are positively emphasized, Murat Alin seems "somewhat out of place" and undermines the "level of the album."
