Do What Thou Wilt. is the fourth studio album by American hip hop recording artist Ab-Soul. It was released on December 9, 2016, by Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). It serves as the follow-up to 2014's These Days.... It has so far been supported by two singles, "Huey Knew" and "Braille".
On July 14, 2015, Ab-Soul tweeted that his next album was "almost done." Ab-Soul gave more updates on the album the same day: "My album's almost done..." he wrote on Twitter, adding, "It's a love story". He completed the post with the hashtag "DWTW", presumably the album title acronym to which he kept alluding. On June 8, 2016, via Twitter, Ab-Soul revealed he had completed his album and turned it in for mixing. On December 5, 2016, Ab-Soul announced on his Twitter feed that DWTW is scheduled to be released on December 9, 2016. The announcement of the release date coincided with the release of the song "Threatening Nature", on TDE's SoundCloud page. On December 6, Ab-Soul unveiled the album's cover art and track-listing.
The albums lead single, titled "Huey Knew", featuring New Jersey-based rapper Da$H, was released on September 30, 2016. "Huey Knew" was produced by TDE in-house producer Willie B and its official music video was released on October 14, 2016. On October 28, 2016, Ab-Soul released the song "Braille", which features vocals from fellow American rapper Bas and production by WondaGurl.
