Album Description
Available in:
"Wrist Slitter" is the third solo full length studio album by The New Amsterdams and The Get Up Kids frontman Matt Pryor. The album was released on Max Bemis's Rory Records imprint for Equal Vision Records in the US, Arctic Rodeo in Europe and Alcopop! Records in the UK.
Despite the odd dark undertone and a distinct note of melancholy, Matt Pryor’s third solo album is anything but a sombre affair, showcasing the sheer breadth and variety of his songcraft. The sometime Get Up Kid has come good once again, turning his hand to punchy powerpop (‘Say What You’re Gonna Say’) wistful acoustic balladry (‘As Perfect As We’ll Ever Be’) and eerie, elemental country with impressive skill.
The album includes 12 tracks, with guest appearances from friends Chris Conley (of Saves The Day), Bob Nanna (of Braid), and Steve Soboslai (of Punchline)
