User Album Review
In December 1983 Tangerine Dream played two concerts at the Warsaw Ice Stadium. After their concert at Palast der Republik in East-Berlin played behind the Iron Curtain again.
It took the band almost one year to get all the paperwork cleared to enter the country. The music which can be heard was recorded under very extreme weather conditions. Edgar, Christopher, and Johannes played the concert in woollen gloves with the fingertips cut-off in order to feel the keys. In addition, the sub-zero temperatures had erased their equipment's memory banks several times.
'We've been called a political band, but when we played East Germany and Poland it was not for political reasons. We just wanted to play to the people there.'
– Edgar Froese
